ANAGO OF WESTERN PA ANNOUNCES 2014 YEAR-END AWARDS CELEBRATION

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – November 24, 2014 – Anago of Western PA is pleased to announce that the 2014 Year-End Awards Celebration has been scheduled.

The Year-End Awards Celebration will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014, from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at The Cornerstone at Tonidale (7011 Steubenville Pike, Oakdale, PA 15071). This year, Anago of Western PA will be presenting awards to Franchise Owners for the following accomplishments: “One Year, No Complaints”, “Greatest Contribution to the Anago System”, “Anago of Western PA Top Business Developer”, “Anago of Western PA Top Grossing Franchise”, “Anago of Western PA Outstanding Citizen”, and “Anago of Western PA Franchisee of the Year.”  All Franchise Owners in attendance will receive a gift courtesy of Anago of Western PA plus all attendees will be entered to win various door prizes.

A very special guest will be speaking at this year’s event. Anago of Western PA is proud to present the founder of Anago Cleaning Systems, David Povlitz. Mr. Povlitz is the founder of Anago International, Inc. (AII), the predecessor to Anago Franchising, Inc. (AFI), and Anago Cleaning Systems (ACS), the parent company to AFI.

David Povlitz began his career began in the building maintenance industry by first founding Professional Building Maintenance, Inc., a janitorial service company in Detroit, Michigan in 1974. Mr. Povlitz developed many of the cleaning methods used by Anago today and in 1990, he began franchising those methods in Florida through AII. In 1995, he formed AFI to sell Master Franchises nationally. Mr. Povlitz is also the owner of the South Florida Master Franchise.

Mr. Povlitz is excited about the opportunity to speak at this year’s event:  “When the opportunity arose to not only catch up with some of Anago’s top Master Franchise Owners, but also get the privilege of meeting all of their Franchisees, the true backbone of this business, I couldn’t pass it up,” he exclaimed.  “I am proud to be a part of Anago of Western PA’s Year-End Awards Celebration.”

This event is open to each Anago of Western PA Franchise Owner and one guest. Additional guest requests will be reviewed and honored as space allows.  Tickets are required for this event. The June Franchise Owner’s Meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 16, 2014 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the Anago of Western PA Regional Support Office (300 Old Pond Road, Suite 202, Pittsburgh, PA 15017). Paul Bertenthal, President of D.H. Bertenthal and Sons Janitorial Supplies, will present the newest concepts in chemicals. Mr. Bertenthal will also discuss other money-saving chemical tips to help Franchise Owners successfully manage their businesses.

“The cleaning industry, especially in terms of chemicals and equipment, is constantly evolving,” according to Anago of Western PA Vice President Bill Ross. “We are lucky to have industry experts like Paul Bertenthal to keep our franchise owners in-tune with all of the latest concepts and ideas.”

ANAGO OF WESTERN PA FRANCHISE OWNERS RECEIVE THEIR ANNUAL HEALTHCARE CERTIFICATION

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – May 1, 2014 – Anago of Western PA is pleased to announce that the annual Healthcare Certification for 2014 has concluded with great success.

Franchise Owners who presently service or wish to service a healthcare or education account are required to receive their healthcare cleaning compliance certification every year in April as part of the Anago of Western PA Exposure Control Plan. Anago of Western PA hosted a total of three meetings for the convenience of Franchise Owners, and Franchise Owners were asked to choose one of the following dates to receive their healthcare certification: 

• Saturday, April 26, 2014: 11 A.M. – 1 P.M.
• Monday, April 28, 2014: 11 A.M. – 1 P.M.
• Tuesday, April 29, 2014: 11 A.M. – 1 P.M.

Topics of review included: Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure and Needlestick Prevention, the Anago of Western PA Exposure Control Plan, HIPAA Compliance, GHS & Hazcom 2012 Compliance, Disinfecting and Sanitizing Procedures, and Using Microfiber Technologies.  Additionally Franchise Owners were asked to participate in the 2014 Superior Service Pledge and pledge to provide the best in cleaning and customer service for their client’s in the upcoming year.

“I am extremely pleased with the attendance and participation in this year’s Healthcare Cleaning Compliance classes,” stated Anago of Western PA Vice President Bill Ross. “In addition to the presenting this important information, we even managed to have some fun taking bacterial swabs of attendee’s cell phones, money and purse content.”

ANAGO OF WESTERN PA FRANCHISE OWNERS UP-TO-DATE WITH CLEANING CHEMICALS

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – March 14, 2014 –The first Anago of Western PA franchise owner’s meeting of 2014 was a successful one. The main topic for this meeting was “Back to Basics: Chemicals”.

The February Franchise Owner’s Meeting was held on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the Anago of Western PA Regional Support Office (300 Old Pond Road, Suite 202, Pittsburgh, PA 15017). Anago of Western PA was pleased to present guest speaker Jeff Tishko, the Vice President of Sales at The Colker Company.

Mr. Tishko discussed the chemicals that Franchise Owners need for basic cleaning. Specifically, he explained the different chemicals that can be used to solve our top cleaning problems, such as removing carpet stains, eliminating bathroom odors, and keeping surfaces and floors streak-free.

Bill Ross, Vice President of Anago of Western PA, had this to say: “As business owners, sometimes we can get so caught up in the day to day operations of our business, we start to forget the most basic elements.  Today’s class was a great refresher course on chemicals, chemical usage, and chemical safety along with new information on emerging trends in the cleaning chemical industry.”

FORMER STEELER DELIVERS LEADERSHIP LESSONS TO LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – December 26, 2013 – On December 20, 2013, Anago of Western PA held their ninth annual Year-End Awards Celebration.

Over seventy Franchise Owners and their guests were welcomed by Anago of Western PA at The Cornerstone at Tonidale in Oakdale, Pennsylvania. Franchise Owners who go above and beyond the call of duty were recognized for their various achievements. Some of the awards presented at this year’s celebration were: “One Year, No Complaints”, “Greatest Contribution to the Anago System”, “Anago of Western PA Top Business Developer”, “Anago of Western PA Top Grossing Franchise”, “Anago of Western PA Outstanding Citizen”, and the coveted “Anago of Western PA Franchisee of the Year” award. 

After all of the outstanding Franchise Owners were acknowledged, Anago of Western PA was very proud to present former Pittsburgh Steeler and two-time Super Bowl Champion, the 2013 Byron “Whizzer” White NFL Man of the Year Award Winner, Pittsburgh native and current sports personality for KDKA-TV, Mr. Charlie Batch.Mr. Batch gave a very powerful speech titled “Expect Your Best: Leadership Lessons to Win.” Not only were his words emotional and uplifting, but Mr. Batch connected with and inspired his audience.  Following his speech, Charlie courteously answered questions from Franchise Owners about how to succeed, Mr. Batch’s numerous charitable endeavors, and what it was like to be a professional football player.

“The 2013 Year-End Awards Celebration was an outstanding success,” stated Anago of Western PA Vice President Bill Ross.  “Mr. Batch’s messages about being ready to step up at all times and going out to find success rather than waiting for it to come to you are lessons that we all can learn from in our professional and personal lives.”

Immediately following his question-and-answer session, Charlie Batch graciously offered his time to pose with Franchise Owners for photos. A tasty lunch was provided by Anago of Western PA after the photo session, and Franchise Owners spent time conversing, swapping stories, and sharing business advice. Anago of Western PA thanks all of its Franchise Owners for their hard work and offers them continued success.

Charlise and Charles - Anago of Western PA Unit Franchise Owners!

ANAGO OF WESTERN PA FRANCHISE OWNERS COMPLIANT WITH NEW OSHA CHANGES

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – October 22, 2013 – The Anago of Western PA Monthly Franchise Owner’s Meeting for October 2013 brought Franchise Owners up to date with new OSHA requirementsregarding MSDS sheets and chemical labeling.

Guest Speaker Paul Bertenthal, President of D.H. Bertenthal and Sons Cleaning and Maintenance Supplies, presented the day’s meeting in conjunction with Toby Dietzel, a Regional Sales Manager for Pro-Link Janitorial Supplies.

OSHA has mandated that all employers train their employees regarding the upcoming change from MSDS sheets to Universal SDS sheets, as well as changes in chemical labeling and universal pictograms, by December 1, 2013. Mr. Bertenthal and Mr. Dietzel discussed how these changes would impact Franchise Owners’ businesses and provided the information that Franchise Owners would need in order to become compliant.

“We brought in these experts and held this meeting today so that our Franchisees had the knowledge and skills required to train their employees in these matters prior to OSHA’s deadline,” stated Anago of Western PA Vice President Bill Ross. “We want all of our Franchisees operating their businesses both safely and in full compliance with Government regulations.”

A special drawing was also held during this month’s meeting. One lucky Franchise Owner won a pair of Pitt Football tickets to the Panthers’ November 16^th home game at Heinz Field!

ANAGO OF WESTERN PA FRANCHISE OWNERS RECEIVE FIRST AID AND CPR CERTIFICATION

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – September 19, 2013 – It was standing room only in the offices of Anago of Western PA during the Monthly Franchise Owner’s Meeting for September 2013. This month’s meeting offered franchisees the opportunity to learn important live-saving skills. As an added bonus, attendees received their first aid and CPR certification.

Anago of Western PA invited special guest Denis Valentine, Director of SouthBridge Emergency Medical Services (EMS), to lead the meeting. SouthBridge is a local EMS service for the South Fayette Township and Bridgeville Areas. Mr. Valentine conducted a Heartsaver® First Aid course. Heartsaver® First Aid is a course that teaches the critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until EMS arrives. In addition, Mr. Valentine demonstrated how to perform CPR, and all owners in attendance received both their first aid and CPR certification at the conclusion of the meeting.

“I could not have been more pleased with today’s turnout,” stated Vice President of Anago of Western PA Bill Ross. “It was great to see how much interest our Franchise Owners had in learning these important life-saving skills. Because so many franchisees work late at night in empty office buildings, knowing these first aid and CPR techniques could be a matter of life or death.”

The meeting was held on September 16, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Anago of Western PA Regional Support Office (300 Old Pond Road, Suite 202, Pittsburgh, PA 15017). A lunch, courtesy of Anago of Western PA, was provided following the meeting.
